ACC celebrates Alberta's best in business at annual Alberta Business Awards of Distinction

CALGARY, AB – The Alberta Chambers of Commerce proudly hosted the 34th annual Alberta Business Awards of Distinction on June 19, 2025 — marking the first time the celebration was held in Calgary.

This milestone event brought together leaders from Alberta’s business community, government, and chamber network to honour excellence across thirteen award categories. The 2025 awards recognized 36 finalists from communities across Alberta, representing a diverse cross-section of industries, innovation, and community leadership.

The evening’s highest honour — the Alberta’s Best of Business Award of Distinction — was presented to World Guardian Security Services, headquartered in Edmonton. Selected from the finalists, the company was recognized for its outstanding contributions to economic development and public safety in Alberta.

"These awards recognize the ingenuity and entrepreneurial drive of Alberta’s business leaders, along with the dedicated teams behind them," said Shauna Feth, President and CEO of the Alberta Chambers of Commerce. "Recognition matters — it fosters a culture of excellence and strengthens the momentum of business across our province."

Serving as emcee for the gala was Brian Wong, Organizer of All Culture One Day and Community Ambassador for the Calgary Flames, who brought warmth and charisma to the celebration. Interviews with finalists and recipients, conducted by Angela Nguyen, host and producer of The Leader Within Podcast, will soon be featured on the Alberta Chambers of Commerce YouTube channel.

“The Alberta Business Awards of Distinction are more than a celebration — they are a reflection of the values, leadership, and determination that drive Alberta’s economy forward,” said Kristi Hines, Chair of the Alberta Chambers of Commerce.

With over 400 award recipients celebrated throughout its 34-year history, the Alberta Business Awards of Distinction continue to serve as a cornerstone of business recognition in the province. This legacy is made possible by the enduring support of event partners, sponsors, and Alberta’s network of community chambers.

The Alberta Chambers of Commerce extends sincere congratulations to all 2025 award recipients and finalists. Their achievements are shaping a resilient, vibrant, and opportunity-rich Alberta.
